2. Pinch Analytics (App Analytics)

Pinch Analytics is software that collects anonymous usage data from mobile phone applications, and presents it in aggregated form. Using Pinch Analytics will provide you with information about how your application is being used, which you can then use to improve and enhance it. Pinch Analytics supports the iPhone and iPod Touch. Several other mobile application platforms are being tested – please contact us for more information.

What are specific ways I can use Pinch Analytics?

You could measure which features of your application were being used more than others, so you could focus on them. You could see how quickly users were finishing your game, so you could decide whether to build more content. You could measure the advertising received from an ad network, so you could compare your reporting to theirs. You could choose between ad-supported and paid-application business models by measuring user retention over time. You could understand what operating system versions you need to support. There are many other possibilities.
